Spinach Dip Satisfaction

When simplicity and satisfaction collide in the kitchen, sheer joy results.  I can’t think of a better example of this than my spinach dip.  When I make this recipe for parties, gatherings or just a snack for friends, there is always agreed praise and the desire for the recipe.  The truth is, spinach dip is as simple as defrost, decant and dip.  Guaranteed to perk up any tortilla chip, pitta bread or carrot stick in a green-flecked instant.


300g frozen spinach, defrosted and then drained thoroughly
1k Greek yoghurt
1 chicken stock cube
3 spring onions
Handful chopped parsley
Handful chopped chives
Garlic powder to taste
A few dashes Worcester sauce
Juice from half a lemon
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste


Mix the chicken stock cube with a dash of freshly boiled water until dissolved

Pour into food processor along with all other ingredients until fully blitzed and resembling a dip

Serve with any accoutrement that tickles your tastebuds’ fancy
