Summer alcoholic sundaes at Social Eating House
Jason Atherton’s Michelin-starred Social Eating House has created a menu of boozy ice-cream sundaes for guests to enjoy throughout the summer months. From the quintessentially British ‘Pimm’s Sundae’, featuring lemon, mint, cucumber, orange sorbet, strawberry and Pimm’s granite, to the ‘Strawberry Daiquiri Sundae’, guests can enjoy their favourite summer treat, the grown-up way.
Shaved ice kakigori at Sosharu
One of the most innovative dishes on the menu at Jason Atherton’s latest opening, Sosharu, is the dessert to celebrate summer. Made using a special ice shaving machine brought back from Japan, a thinly shaved mound of ice is flavoured in front of guests with a sweet strawberry syrup. The dessert is then garnished with balls of mochi and intensely delicious Japanese pears for a sweet and refreshing ode to the warmer months.
Picnic in the City at Jason Atherton’s City Social
Guests at Jason Atherton’s City Social can celebrate summer in style with picnic baskets in the sky at the 24th floor restaurant in Tower 42. The Michelin-starred twist on a traditional British picnic features a gourmet scotch egg, salt beef, isle of mull cheddar, homemade piccalilli and crisp cheese crackers, for guests to enjoy overlooking the London skyline.
Strawberry & clotted cream soft serve ice cream at Social Wine & Tapas
In celebration of summer, guests at Jason Atherton’s Social Wine and Tapas can enjoy the strawberry & clotted cream soft serve ice cream. Served in a bespoke wooden stand, miniature waffle cones are filled with clotted cream soft serve and presented with a bottle of strawberry sauce for guests to squeeze on top, for a fun and innovative nod to Wimbledon- should remove Wimbledon and replace with summer?
‘Girls On Bikes’ at Jason Atherton’s 7 Tales
For a cocktail that captures the spirit of summer, and a nod to bar manager Geoff Robinson’s favourite part about the warmer months, guests at Jason Atherton’s basement bar, 7 Tales, can enjoy ‘Girls on Bikes’. A blend of beefeater, kuncho nigori, rhubarb shrub, kasu, grapefruit and cream, the cocktail is a vibrant pink and Japanese-inspired nod to the season.
‘Long Islay Ice Tea’ at the Blind Pig
In celebration of summer, guests at Jason Atherton’s speakeasy style vintage bar, The Blind Pig, can enjoy Long Islay Ice Tea. A celebration of British summertime ingredients, and inspired by the island of Islay, the drink mixes Scottish malt whiskey Laphroaig 10, malted juniper, British agave, orange oils, lemon, Coke and mint, for a very British take on a classic holiday tipple.
Chilled chilli ramen at Bone Daddies
Bone Daddies is set to prove that ramen need not just be for winter with a cold variation of their famous bone broth. The Chilled Chilli Ramen features chicken mince, cuke, chillies and sesame in a chilled broth, perfect for cooling down in the warmer months.
